History
CCM is the Confraternity of Christian Mothers which has its beginnings in the mid-1800's. Louise Josson de Bilhem, the wife of a court official in Norhern France, was admired and repected by those who knew her as a wife and mother, as well as an active promoter of charitable and community projects. When she heard of the wishes of several Christian mothers to work together to promote the welfare of their children, she united them for the first time to pray, discuss their problems and advise one another regarding the Christian rearing of their children. Thus, the first chapter of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers was established on May 1, 1850.
